Darrell's is a must stop anytime we pass through Lake Charles! The Special, all the way, is the best thing you can put in your mouth. From the bread to the juices running down your arm, it's has to be the best po-boy ever. Do not miss out on experiencing one of those "damn this is good" moments in your life. .

I haven't been to Darrell's in 20 years. The special was so good I convinced Leidenheimer to sell me bread here in Shreveport and I've done my best to recreate the sandwich at my place up here. People love it and I call it The Darrell and give all the credit to Darrell's of Lake Chuck!
